Open Wide, Insert Foot

Okay, I think we all know how passionate sports fans are about their hometown teams, right? Can you imagine if some politician was in Mssoula  at a fundraiser and accidentally proclaimed the Bobcats were on their way to the national championship? Well, Vice President Biden found out the hard way in San Francisco.

He was at a big time, mega-bucks Democratic fundraiser, gets up there and proclaims, "The Giants are on their way to the Super Bowl."  Jeer! Booo! Etc. Now, the NEW YORK Giants are playing the San Francisco 49-ers Sunday for the right to go to the Super Bowl so you can imagine the warm reception. The VP says he got confused, since San Francisco does have Giants. Unforunately they play baseball.    Ooops.  DB
