Griz football fans, there will be some added challenges to parking and accessing some parking lots.  If you are part of the 25,000-plus who take in a Montana Grizzly football home game, here is the scoop on what's happening around the Adams Center and the north and west parking areas of the football stadium.

Construction of the new student athlete academic center right in front of the Adams Center is underway. So, 6th Street, where it wraps around in front of the Adams Center and connects with Campus Drive is blocked off. There is now an access road through Lot P, the large lot right in front of the Adams Center. Watch for stop signs and pedestrians, but that detour will lead you to the end of Lot P and access to other parking lots, such as Lot Z, if you park there or need to get into the tailgate party area on the north side of the stadium complex. You'll also be able to get out of those areas with a new exit that will take you around toward Campus Drive toward 5th Street and the Madison Street Bridge.

And the obligatory advice: Come a little earlier than usual the first home game you go to and get acquainted with the new configuration. It's going to take a little extra time and patience. And of course the new Dennis J. Bedard Toll Booth will slow you down a bit, too. Correct change only, please. Seriously, enjoy yourselves, be prepared for the inconvenience and GO GRIZ! DB
