Craig makes a lot of jokes about how I have been known to enjoy beer. I do, in my two trips to the Czech Republic (where they know beer) I’ve enjoyed an estimated 40 different beers, and anytime I’m traveling I’ll give local brews a taste. I only have a couple of personal rules for beer; no fruit flavoring, it has to have a head on it, and just keep it simple. Somehow this just seems not right…..

A Japanese brewery has come up with a novel way of keeping beer cool - a frozen head. Kirin's Ichiban Shibori Frozen Draft features a frozen foam 'lid' which keeps the beer cold for about 30 minutes. The foam is made by cooling the beer to 23F and then pumping it out DQ style on top of the glass.
