Forest Service officials say three fires make up a new fire complex burning in steep, remote, forested terrain northeast of Seeley Lake.

NBC Montana reports officials say it was likely sparked by lightning in the Richmond Ridge area. It's called the Richmond Ridge Complex and it's made up of the Richmond Ridge, Richmond Ridge 2 and North Richmond fires.

Smoke is visible throughout the area, and officials expect high fire activity due to wind and high temperatures.

No structures are threatened at this time.

Crews will look at their options for fire suppression or management after the fire activity decreases.

NBC Montana viewer Scott Newpower shared an aerial video shot Friday afternoon. You can also view more pictures of the fire at their website.
