New C-note Shipped

How long has it been since you've had one of these in your pocket or purse? This is the new $100 bill being sent into circulation today. The new $100 bill, with lots of high-tech features designed to thwart counterfeiters, is being delivered to banks today partial government shutdown or not. The Federal Reserve, which has not been affected by the shutdown has armored trucks rolling from its regional banks around the country headed to financial institutions with the new C-notes. Some bank customers could start seeing the new bills by this afternoon depending on how close their bank is to a regional Fed facility. The Fed office closest to Missoula is in Helena.
