Christmas won’t be the only holiday celebrated at the Southgate Mall this year. Rabbi Berri Nash from Chabad of Missoula explains why he will be bringing a Menorah to the mall to celebrate the start of Hanukkah this Sunday.

"We want to educate the children of Missoula with hands-on activities. They will crafts some Hanukkah materials," Nash said. "It will only be an hour from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Following that, we will like a Menorah, the candelabra that celebrates bringing light into the world."

The struggle between light and darkness promises to be an important theme.

"Like the saying goes: 'To dispel darkness, all you need is a little bit of light,'" Nash said. "That's the message of Hanukkah and that's why we're so excited about doing it in the mall with the community. This will be the first Menorah being lit in Southgate Mall, to my knowledge."

Hanukkah begins at Sundown on Sunday and will last till Monday, December 14.
