NEVER Return a Dr. Seuss Book Late

You could buy a lot of green eggs and ham with what a public library wants to fine this couple! Oh, yeah, and would you eat them in a cell? Would you be saying "what the hell?"

Associated Press tells us that a judge in Tecumseh, Michigan, wants to fine a couple to spend 93 days in jail and pay a $500 fine for a couple of overdue library books, including one by Dr. Seuss! The owe about $35 in overdue fines on the novel, but they lost the Dr. Seuss book. Apparently the library takes this stuff pretty seriously, as some of that $500 fine would be to compensate a local "crime investigating unit." That part is being challenged, as is the jail time, I'm sure.

Regardless of the outcome, the couple say they will likely never check out another library book. Ya think?   DB
