The good people at Neptune Aviation got some great news last week. Federal officials have awarded Neptune Aviation a contract to provide jet-powered retardant bombers for wildland firefighting. The $8.7 million annual contract for use of two 3,000-gallon tanker aircraft starts in 2014 and runs for four years. The contract has five one-year extension options.

The folks at Neptune Aviation work very hard at a very specialized and demanding business. They deserved this contract. They celebrated their 20th anniversary in Missoula just this past summer.
