National Donut Day Is Here

National Donut Day has arrived and just in time there’s something new. Just when you thought you’d heard of everything in in morning snacks (Donuts, crullers, fritters, etc.) Along comes …the cronut. This creation of a baker in New York City has people standing in line for hours to get one. It sort of reminds me of the soup lines for the Soup Nazi’s soups from Seinfeld. Back to the cronut, it’s an interesting combination of two pastries that I do like.  Rather than a cream filling I’d opt for huckleberry. Yum!
