My Favorite Quote Right Now

It's amazing how words from someone else can have such a deep meaning in our own lives. Over these past few months I have really thought about this quote a lot and it has really made an impact on my life. My favorite quote right now is from someone very familiar to Missoula, J.K. Simmons. It was during his acceptance speech last year at the Oscars, if you don't remember it here it is.

"Call your mom, call your dad. If you’re lucky enough to have a parent or two alive on this planet, call ‘em. Don’t text. Don’t email. Call them on the phone. Tell ‘em you love ‘em, and thank them, and listen to them for as long as they want to talk to you. Thank you. Thank you, Mom and Dad."

Something in his speech made me realize how fragile life is , and of course to call my parents. Which is something that I am working hard at doing more often. I just love this quote!
