Calls were coming in to local police departments, who in turn were advising their app users about responding to unconfirmed reports of a tiger on the loose.

AP tells us that yes, there was a wild animal out there, alright. Tiger? Hardly. Try raccoon.

Yep. I can't wait till a magpie lands on someone's railing and New York police get calls about a loose pterodactyl.
