On the 4th of July in 2013, 21-year-old Hanna Harris celebrated the holiday with her family in Lame Deer, and then went missing. Her raped and beaten body was discovered 4 days later on the Northern Cheyenne Reservation. Many MMIW cases are never solved, no one is ever held accountable for the deaths and disappearance of Native women and girls, families are left without closure. Hanna's family had to fight for justice to ensure Eugenia Ann Rowland and Garrett Sidney Henderson Wadda were held accountable for murdering the mother of a 10-month-old baby, leading to the introduction of a House Bill known as "Hanna's Act."

Hanna's family will be featured on today's episode of 'Dr. Oz,' which is on at 3 p.m. locally, sorry for the late notice. You can record it from your Spectrum or Hulu app though. Hanna's story will also be covered on the MTV show 'True Crime,' set to air tomorrow (2/25) at 7 p.m.
