The Ringling Brothers Circus has announced that they will officially be shutting down this year. The Circus has been touring the world for nearly 100 years, and is wrapping up performances this May. The town of Ringling, Montana was named after John Ringling. John was one of the 7 brothers that founded the circus. As an entrepreneur, John Ringling was not only one of the founding members of the circus, but also owned a ranch south of White Sulpher Springs, Montana.
