Montana Grizzly Football Officially Has New Defensive Coordinator

New University of Montana head football coach Bobby Hauck has added another member to his staff with deep coaching roots.

It was officially announced that coaching veteran Kent Baer is the new defensive coordinator for the Griz. Baer is a native of Logan, Utah, and a member the Utah State Athletics Hall of Fame.

Coach Baer and Coach Hauck go back many years as opponents on opposite sidelines. Baer has twice been nominated as College Football's Assistant Coach of the Year and has been part of staffs for 9 different FBS schools. . He comes to Montana from UNLV with nearly 45 years of coaching experience.

So, the Grizzly assistant coaching staff now has a guy named 'Baer' and a defensive line coach named 'Sachs.' Omens, I tell ya! Anyway, welcome Coach Baer. Great to have you be a Griz!
