The Montana Grizzly basketball staff suddenly finds itself a coach shy with the 2017-18 season just a few months away.

After three seasons serving in assistant duties to head coach Travis DeCuire, Marlon Stewart has accepted an assistant coaching position at the University of Hawaii. The Rainbow Warriors made that announcement today.

Marlon is considered an up-and-coming young coach. He and coach DeCuire go back to their days to together at the University of California, where Marlon was the team's video coordinator. When Coach DeCuire got the head job at Montana, Stewart joined him here as director of basketball operations, prior to moving up to an assistant coach's position in 2016.

A polite, classy young gentleman. The kind of guy you hate to see leave, but here's wishing him the very best in Honolulu.
