Montana Griz Grabs Conference Basketball Player of Week Honor

For the third time in the last 30 days, a Montana Grizzly basketball standout has been named Big Sky Conference Men's Player of the Week.

And it happens to be the second time in those 30 days that junior guard Sayeed Pridgett - our unofficial winner of the actor Jamie Foxx lookalike contest - has earned the honor. In wins over Idaho and Eastern Washington, Sayeed racked up a total of 40 points, 21 points against Idaho and 19 vs. Eastern Washington. He averaged an amazing 84.2% shooting, making 16 of the 19 shots he took during the two games. He also had 13 rebounds and three steals in those games.

Congrats to Sayeed and to the Griz, as they remained in first place all alone at the top of the Big Sky. Tough matches on the road this week as Montana travels to Weber State Thursday and Idaho State Saturday.
