If you got out on the opening weekend of the big game archery season in Montana, hope it was a success. Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks has posted some pretty impressive numbers and projected harvest increases. This year there were nearly 41,000 archery licenses purchased, so that has nearly doubled in the last few years. Projected harvests are approximately 4,700 deer and 2,700. It's not a huge percentage of the overall harvest in Montana, but definitely growing at a fast clip. Again, if the weekend was successful, congratulations.
