Missoula's historic Roxy Theater will celebrate their 80th anniversary this year with a new marquee and box office.

According to the Roxy's director and programmer, Mike Steinberg, the theater will be bringing back the "original art deco aesthetic", which will include deco style painting to the building. In addition to a "authentic, period accurate neon marquee," the Roxy will also bring back the ticket window facing the street.

The marquee and ticket window will make their debut at the Roxy's 80th anniversary celebration on September 24th, which is the date that the theater originally opening in 1937.

Missoulians are invited to share their fondest memories of the Roxy by calling (406) 800-1937 to record a voice mail of your stories. Those will then be shared at the September celebration.
