At around 8:40 a.m. Monday morning, Missoula Police received a call from a property manager saying some people were in an apartment that was supposed to be unoccupied. Police Public Information Officer Travis Welsh explains.

“She reported that three individuals were seen exiting the apartment, two males and a female,” said Welsh. “After she went in, she discovered that there was damage inside that included damaged doors and a bathtub that had been filled overflowing. There was water seeping out into the other areas of the apartment.”

According to Welsh, these three individuals caused damage to multiple apartments and were apprehended close to the scene of the crime.

“There were actually two apartments that these three individuals entered and caused damage,” Welsh said. “They were contacted a short distance away. They were identified and taken into custody. They are 22-year-old Alex Zechlinski, 22-year-old Keshaw York and 27-year-old Augustus Jeffres.”

Welsh says because of the damage to the building, all three individuals were arrested for burglary.
