Turah Man Arrested For Stalking And Violating Order Of Protection
37 year-old Joshua Sandau is in the Missoula County Jail after allegedly stalking his former partner, and in doing so, violating an order of protection meant to keep him from contacting her.
According to court records, the woman, identified simply as Jane Doe, was granted an order of protection against Sandau on May 5, however, Sandau showed up at her residence on May 7 stating that he had not yet received the order, so she allowed Sandau to see his son. When she arrived at his residence, Sandau told her that he had indeed received the order of protection.
When she arrived, court records go on to state that Sandau wrote out a note stating that the protection order was ‘dissolved’ and had her sign it. She told a police detective that she signed the note because she was frightened. She reported a number of frightening and controlling behaviors by Sandau, and indicated that she was afraid for her safety.
A $25,000 warrant was issued for Sandau’s arrest on July 7 and, according to his public defender, Sandau turned himself in on Wednesday morning.
He appeared in justice court and was placed in jail on $10,000 bond and ordered to have no contact with the victim.
