A Missoula man, Gregory Thompson, was arrested for his fourth DUI early Friday morning, after crashing into two parked cars near downtown, Missoula.

Missoula Police Public Information Officer Travis Welsh said that the incident occurred in the 600 block of East Broadway.

"We had a report of two vehicles that had been hit by a third that had left the scene in the 600 block of East Broadway," Welsh said. "That vehicle was located on the eastbound on-ramp at Van Buren Street on the way to Interstate 90. The driver was identified as a 52 year-old male, and the investigation at the scene resulted in his arrest."

Welsh said further investigation determined that Thompson had been arrested for DUI before.

"Later, it was learned that it was his fourth, or subsequent DUI arrest, so he was arrested for a felony," Welsh said. "No one was injured, in that neither of the cars that were struck were occupied at the time."

Thompson will appear in Missoula Justice Court to face felony DUI charges.
