Construction continues on Highway 93 between Missoula and Lolo causing frustration for commuters. We received the following public advisory from Riverside Contracting to keep you up to date on the Federal Aid Project, which involves laying new asphalt.

Please be advised that Riverside Contracting, Inc. plans to commence Micro-surfacing operations on the Lolo-Missoula portion of the Federal Aid Project that includes (5) tied projects, on September 6th.  This work is in conjunction with the MDT and includes various safety upgrades (Signals, Signs, Sidewalk), as well as, new asphalt Micro-surfacing between Missoula and Lolo on Highway 93 and signal and intersection improvements in Hamilton.  Our anticipated work sequence is as follows:

Anticipate lane closures on Highway 93 from the Reserve St. intersection to the MT 12 junction in Lolo, to perform Micro-surfacing (Paving) operations starting next week.  This operation will last for the next several weeks including weekends.  Lane closure/shift times will be as follows:  Highway 93 Southbound from 5am to 4pm (Single Lane Closure), Highway 93 Northbound from 8:30am to 8pm (Single Lane Closure).   Micro-surfacing operations at night will also be an option if temperatures permit.  In addition, sign upgrades will commence next week at the intersection of Grant St. and Brooks St., as well as continued lighting work from the Buck house Bridge to Reserve St.

Expect lengthy traffic delays and slow moving traffic in these areas.  Please use the alternate routes if available, and obey all construction signs and flaggers.  If you have questions or concerns, please contact us at 1-800-321-4964, leave a message, and we will make every attempt to address your concerns within 24 hours.

Thank you, we appreciate your patience and understanding as we attempt to complete this project in an expeditious manner.

Be kind to your fellow commuters and good luck out there!
