Who knew anyone was opposed to Mars! Sorry, couldn't resist throwing a lame one in there.

We're actually hoping for clear skies to see Mars get closer to Earth than it has in over 10 years!

This Sunday morning, May 22, Mars reaches opposition with the sun, meaning it will be exactly opposite the sun in Earth's sky, making for great viewing, clear skies permitting.

Mars is directly opposite the sun in relation to Earth. Mars rises as the sun sets and sets as the sun rises, and should be visible all night long. But your best viewing is probably between 12:00 and 2:00 am Mountain Daylight Time Sunday.

So grab a blanket and some brewskies and wave. Maybe some Martians will pick up your inter-galactic vibes!
