The Missoula County Attorney’s Office says things were pretty quiet when it comes to crime this week. County Attorney Jason Marks says the office filed 12 new felony charges and that there were no big surprises.

“They were relatively run of the mill,” Marks said. “There was a felony DUI, drugs, burglary and a stolen car. There was nothing terribly exciting. We had two felony persons crimes and both were domestic violence. One was strangulation and the other was an assault with a weapon for threatening someone with a knife. In terms of persons crimes there was not a lot this week, which is always a great thing.”

According to Marks, a slow crime week gives his office the ability to work on cases that are already open. He says some of the big trials they are preparing for might be pushed back to the winter.
