The fire was brought under control within minutes, however, one fireman was injured when he fell off a ladder 15 feet onto a pile of scrap metal. Brandt says the firefighter was knocked unconscious and transported to Missoula’s St. Patrick Hospital where he was treated for a laceration and received a CAT-scan. The unnamed fireman is in stable condition, and will be kept overnight for observation.
Brandt says the cause of the fire is still under investigation. He said fire crews were on scene throughout the afternoon mopping up hot spots.
