Missoula City Band Concerts Summer 2013 Season Nears End

How old of a tradition is attending free Missoula City Band concerts? Well, for over a hundred years, the band has brought wonderful music to the public every summer in free, open-air concerts. If you have not attended a Wednesday evening concert yet this summer, you only have a couple opportunities left. The music and the venue are terrific. The final two shows of the season are 8:00 tonight (August 7) and next Wednesday, August 14 in Bonner Park. Tonight's special guests are the Bitterroot Community Band. Next week's theme is Encore and Finale. Like hiking up to the "M" and standing in a long line to get an ice cream cone at an outdoor walk-up window, hey, it's a Missoula "thing."
