Bears are on the move eating just about anything that catches their nose. They have one the best senses of smell and will follow a scent for miles.So when you put your garbage out the night before pickup you're sending out an full scented invitation. The same thing goes for fallen apples left to rot on the ground.School District One sent out a mass email Tuesday of this week informing South Hills parents of a bear in their area.
