Miranda Lambert stripped down her Roadside Bars and Pink Guitars Tour for a visit to Nashville’s City Winery Wednesday night (Jan. 20), bringing with her Collin Raye, who happens to be the brother of Lambert’s guitarist. In light of the recent passing of the Eagles’ guitarist Glenn Frey, Raye took the opportunity to tribute the artist with an acoustic version of "Desperado," with Lambert assisting.

Raye sang the tune while a band member supported him on an acoustic guitar and Lambert joined in on harmonies. The crowd was silent nearly throughout the entire song — save for some cheers here and there — as Raye captivated the room with his strong, emotional vocals. Ashley Monroe and songwriters Nicolle Galyon and Shane McAnally looked on with admiration as Raye and Lambert honored Frey with the performance.

The Nashville stop on the Roadside Bars and Pink Guitars Unplugged Tour also featured Charles Kelly of Lady Antebellum and Maren Morris, filling out the bill with a host of talented performers. Lambert revealed a new song during the show called "Scars," written by Raye’s brother and Lambert’s guitarist Scotty Wray, calling it one of her favorite songs she’s ever heard. She added that she hopes to put it on a record sometime. Proceeds from Lambert’s City Winery show will go to the Women’s Creators Fund.

The Eagles' Glenn Frey passed away Jan. 18, 2016 at the age of 67, due to complications from rheumatoid arthritis, acute ulcerative colitis and pneumonia, the band’s site reported. Many country artists have been paying their respects, as the Eagles have had such a profound effect on songwriters and musicians across nearly all genres. Travis Tritt released a statement reflecting on the loss — the music video shoot for his cover of “Take It Easy” was a stepping stone in the reunification of the band and led to a long standing friendship between Tritt and the group.

Fans are eager to hear new music from Lambert, but aside from teasing that a big announcement is on the way, no release date has been revealed for an album.
