For the fifth year Blake Shelton is co-hosting the ACM Awards, and Miranda Lambert is nervous about it. However, she’s not afraid that her husband will bomb. She’s afraid of what he’ll say about her.

“I’m nervous for me to watch him,” Lambert tells Taste of Country. “You never know what he’s going to do.”

The “Little Red Wagon” singer and Entertainer of the Year nominee doesn’t get to see the script, so she could be a target for his humor. Lambert says that she’s not his filter for any joke, tweet or good idea. Not that he needs one.

“He’s so good at that job,” she says. “He’s so great and consistent at hosting and being on television … like he’s really good at it.”

Lambert is up for eight awards, including Album of the Year for Platinum. “Little Red Wagon” is her current single, but she’s also releasing a new song for Hot Pursuit, a Thelma & Louise-style movie starring Reese Witherspoon and Sofia Vergara. She tells ToC that the actress texted her and then followed up with some notes on the flick.

“It seemed right up my alley, so I went to Nashville and wrote with Natalie and Nicolle (Natalie Hemby and Nicolle Galyon, her “Automatic” co-writers) and we just kind of came up with this cool tune," she says. The song is called "Two of a Crime."

Lambert met Witherspoon at a Jason Aldean concert several years ago and exchanged phone numbers with her. She says they haven’t had a chance to hang out, but they hope to.

“I have a feeling we might get in some trouble,” Lambert says, laughing.
