33 year-old Lance Ring, on release after entering a guilty plea to sexually assaulting a six year-old child, has been arrested again on a similar charge.

Deputy County Attorney Jennifer Clark said Ring was out on $100,000 bond when the second incident allegedly occurred just after midnight on May 24.

According to court documents, Ring offered a woman a ride outside a Reserve Street convenience store. Instead of taking her where she asked to go, Ring allegedly took the woman to a deserted parking lot on Brooks street and offered her money to perform sex. When the woman attempted to get out, Ring began choking her and demanded she perform a sex act. The affidavit states that Ring forced her to perform a sex act outside in the parking lot. Another vehicle came by after hearing the woman screaming for help and Ring got into his truck and left. The driver of the second vehicle transported the woman to her residence.

The driver of the second vehicle contacted police and, after an investigation, Ring was arrested and charged with felony sexual intercourse without consent.

Clark said Ring will appear before District Judge Karen Townsend on Tuesday morning to revoke his release and to charge him with a second count of sexual intercourse without consent. Clark said he could face a maximum of two life terms in prison.
