Kurtis Lee Kills On Top, 29, appeared in Missoula Justice Court on Thursday, Jan 2, charged with stabbing a man and a woman on New Year's Eve.

Court records indicate that Missoula police were called to a trailer house on West Sussex where several individuals gathered at the residence said Kills On Top had stabbed a male and a female with a knife or sharp object. He has been charged with two felony counts of assault with a weapon.

Neither of the victims sustained life threatening injuries.

Deputy Missoula County Attorney Shaun Donovan asked the court for a high bail, due to the serious nature of the allegations.

"I'm requesting that you set bail at $50,000," Donovan said. "According to the charging documents, there were two separate victims here, two separate people who were stabbed with a knife or a sharp object, and there isn't any provocation for either one of these attacks that is offered by the defendant or any aspect of the investigation. All I can tell you with respect to the defendant's criminal history is that it's negligible, in that all he has is one misdemeanor disorderly conduct charge in 2012. Notwithstanding, we think the seriousness of the offenses deserve a significant bail."

The judge placed Kills On Top in jail on $35,000 bail, with his next court appearance set for January 16.
