Make Sure You Build on the Right Lot

A custom dream home on the ocean. Sounds pretty amazing, right? Too bad it's on the wrong lot. Now, these folks may be extremely wealthy, but still...really an awkward situation here, according to Associated Press. Six months after the custom dream home was built near Palm Coast, Florida, a Missouri couple has been informed that it's on the wrong lot in the gated Ocean Hammock community. The couple says they're in total disbelief. They bought the lot a couple years ago, hired a builder to do a three-story, 5,000 square foot vacation rental...and it ends up on the lot next to theirs, which is owned by someone else. Negotiations are underway to see what can be done.
