Luke Bryan’s ‘Crash My Party’ Album Certified Platinum
It's official: Luke Bryan is a country music superstar. And while he admits that sometimes his rising fame means fans will go through his trash, it also means he sells a lot of albums. 'Crash My Party' has been certified Platinum by the RIAA just six weeks after being released on Aug. 13.
After a huge start, debuting at No. 1 on both the Billboard 200 and country sales charts, Bryan's album marked the biggest sales debut for a country male artist since 2004, when Tim McGraw's 'Live Like You Were Dying' was released.
It's no surprise that Bryan's fourth studio album 'Crash My Party' has gone Platinum, as it was the third highest album to debut across all genres this year. And it's still holding strong -- the album’s title track recently set a Billboard record as the largest one-week audience since 2005.
Plus, Bryan's newest single 'That’s My Kind of Night' is also the highest-debuting single of his career and has been the No. 1 selling country single for six consecutive weeks. Not bad!
The singer will be able to celebrate his album's incredible success on his fifth annual Farm Tour 2013, which kicks off Wednesday and has eight shows in ten days.
With over four million in album sales and seven No. 1 singles, it seems that there's no stopping Bryan. He's the current Entertainer of the Year, and will soon find out if he'll continue his reign at the 2013 CMA Awards, where he is nominated for three awards, including Entertainer of the Year, Male Vocalist and Musical Event.
