Missoula, Montana kudos to a guy who tried to do what he thought was right. Associated Press tells us of a fellow named Chris Cox, who lives in South Carolina. The mowers are silent at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington during the government shutdown, so Mr. Cox went to the National Mall with his mower and chainsaw to clean up the grounds. He says he is not motivated by politics, it's just that "these are our memorials." Police let him be volunteer groundskeeper for awhile before asking him to move on. You know, I'll bet there's lots of stories around the country like this right now. If you have one, share. And I wonder what Abe thinks about this whole mess. DB
