Lewis & Clark Stories and Names

This weekend history buffs get a chance to listen to  stories about our area as part of the 9^th Annual Winter Storytelling at Traveler’s Rest State Park. Jack Puckett, a retired USFS Ranger will talk about the Place Names Along the Lewis and Clark Trail. Jack is an amateur historian and long time volunteer at Travelers Rest. He’ll tell stories of how Lewis & Clark came to name many of the places they encountered during their journey. The program starts  Saturday at 11AM at the Park.
