Lawn Chair Balloon Guy Might Retire

Remember Kent Couch? He was the original lawn chair balloonist. He’s the Bend OR gas station owner that became famous when he hooked a lawn chair to a bunch of helium balloons and took off. Since then he’s made several”flights” and attempts at  world records. Now he says he may be giving it all up. The cost of helium has increased five fold. He’s also had a few run ins with the FAA. They fined him $4,500 last year for a flight. I’ve watched some video of his flights. I’ll stick with fixed wing aircraft.
