Lame Excuse Trying to Avoid Arrest

Yep, there's just nothing more hilarious than holding someone up at knife point and then claiming it was a joke. Lord! Judge, please add something to the sentence just for that, okay? 

Associated Press told us about this from Bountiful, Utah, where police busted a guy who allegedly pulled a knife in a store and demanded money. Of course once he saw the would-be victim had a knife, too, well, that's when Virgil Edgar backed off and said he was only joking. Uh, just kidding. Really. The humorous Virgil was arrested for aggravated robbery. Hey, maybe he'll get to spend lots of time behind bars to think of lots more comedic material!
