Now it's the Ladies turn in the Big Sky Tournament to take it all the way to the final round.  Stephanie Stender scored 18 points and grabbed five rebounds to lead Montana to a 66-53 win against Idaho State in the first round of the Big Sky Conference tournament Thursday night.Katie Baker chipped in 12 points for the Lady Griz (16-14), and Sarah Ena finished with 11 points.

Montana took a commanding 32-16 lead into the break and played a tough 2-3 defense to keep Idaho State at bay.

Chelsea Pickering led the Bengals (18-12) with 18 points and six rebounds. Lindsey Reed added 11 points and Ashleigh Vella finished with 10.

The Lady Griz advance to the semifinal round and will play Northern Colorado on Friday. The Bears received a bye into the round. Story from the Associated Press
