In a way, I guess the candy company could look at this crime as an amazing product endorsement.

I mean, here you have someone who loves your product so much, they're willing to break into a car and steal it (and steal nothing else).

In case you missed the viral wackiness that accompanied this story from Kansas State University, here's the update. A student left his car unlocked for a quick errand. He'd left a Kit Kat candy bar in the cup holder, and when he got back to his car, the Kit Kat was gone and a note in its place: "I love Kit Kats so I checked your door and it was unlocked. Did not anything other than the Kit Kat. I am sorry and hungry."

So the victim of the crime posted what happened and a picture of the thief's note online. It makes its way to the Hershey company, and they send a rep to Kansas State and present the guy with a box of Kit Kats. A BIG box.

In the interest of sharing, the student drove around campus, handing out a major portion of the 6,500 Kit Kat bars that Hershey delivered!  I think I like Hershey candy even better that before now!    DB
