Keith Urban offered his musical tribute to George Jones, who passed away today (April 26) at the age of 81. While seated at and playing a white piano, Urban sang a few bars of Jones' 'He Stopped Loving Her Today,' which is largely regarded as one of the most important country songs ever.

After he played and sang an emotional snippet of the song, Urban then looked at the camera and said, "Rest in peace, George. We love you," and touched his heart. It's a very moving musical tribute to a lost legend, and a fitting statement. You could tell that Urban has deep respect for Jones and his musical legacy.

Urban even wrote a short but powerful note when he posted the video. It read: "If I'm blessed enough to make it there, I look forward to you giving me the grand tour. Rest in peace George Jones!!!!! -KU."

Other country stars expressed their sadness over Jones' passing via Twitter. You can read their tweets and their reactions to this major loss in country music.
