Kate Bosworth’s Montana Bear Encounter

I had no idea that Kate Bosworth lived in Montana and actually near where I lived for so long. She was recently on Conan talking about living in Montana and her bear encounter!

Of course Conan is so Hollywood about Montana and bears, even joking he would fiht one for her. The conversation was funny, and Conan even asked.

" I'M CURIOUS. YOU'RE NOT AFRAID OF BEARS? DO YOU ENCOUNTER THEM EVER? "

KATE: "YOU ABSOLUTELY CAN ENCOUNTER THEM IN MONTANA. THERE'S A LOT OF DIFFERENT BEARS -- BLACK BEARS AND GRIZZLY BEARS. THE GRIZZLIES ARE THE ONES YOU DON'T WANT TO ENCOUNTER. WE LIVE NEAR GLACIER PARK ...(talking about bear spray) IT IRRITATES THEM VERY MUCH AND THEY RUN AWAY.
I WAS FISHING DOWN THE NORTH FORK, FISHING WITH MY FATHER-IN-LAW AND MY HUSBAND AND HE CAST HIS FLY INTO A PARTICULAR AREA AND A BEAR POPPED UP JUST FROM THAT SPOT."
