Maybe I am just more critical of movies lately, but I feel like there hasn't been a great movie that I have seen in a long time. Often times it's just about what crazy special effects, but over this past weekend I went to see Jumanji in the movie theater and was pleasantly surprised.

The movie based off 4 high-school students in detention together who all get sucked into the game of 'Jumanji'. They quickly learn that if they don't complete their mission, it could cost them many years of their lives or could end in death.

The cast of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Kevin Hart, Jack Black and Karen Gillan were all fantastic, although the best had to be Jack Black. There were many times throughout the film that I was actually laughing out loud, which doesn't happen enough at the movie theater.

It did get a PG-13 rating because I believe it might say one or two words that you probably don't want your kid to say, but they've probably heard it before. If you have time to see a movie soon, I would highly recommend 'Jumanji'. And don't wait too long as it will probably be leaving the theater soon.
