You may not want to see spam in your inbox, but how about on your dinner plate? The canned pork product is apparently making a comeback, popping up on the menu at some of New York City’s hippest restaurants. And while many Americans are likely grossed out by this retro, budget-friendly food, in some cultures it’s still much-loved- in fact, it’s huge in Hawaii. Now, a number of chefs are seeking to give Spam a gourmet boost, adding it to sushi, fried rice, omelets, noodles and other dishes.
