I've been in the Sistine Chapel, it’s much darker and usually filled with tour groups being told to "Shush” and reminded that pictures are not allowed. That's what makes this link we found so interesting.

The artwork is magnificent. You’re allowed to linger for about 15-20 minutes before you’re ushered out. The Vatican Library was also part of the tour. The tapestries that lined the walls were amazing, most were over 500 years old, and had gold thread used extensively. The Library contains manuscripts dating back to the beginnings of Christianity.

I know you can find pictures inside the Sistine Chapel online, Flickr and etc. taken by tourists. Shame on them, they should show more respect for the artist and dignity of the Chapel. There I’ve got that off my chest.
