Maybe these college kids should stick to making harmless, adorable snowmen like the one in the picture. They don't grow to 800 pounds and become too much to control. For real! That's what Associate Press tells us happened recently at Reed College in Portland, Oregon. A couple of math majors (I'm not sure what that has to do with the story) started making a snowball on a hill. And it grew. And grew. And grew. And finally the students lost control and down the hill it went, gaining momentum and of course size. It finally smashed into the wall of a dorm on campus. No one was injured. Estimated repairs, $3,000 bucks. The school says the students responsible for the runaway snowball won't be disciplined for their stunt. I guess math majors will be math majors sometimes. DB
