How One Missoula Native is Serving His Country
I was going to go to Happy Days Car Wash to get the winter grime off my vehicle. But maybe I’ll just wait for Travis.
Seriously, I want to thank David McKee of the U.S. Navy Office of Community Outreach for sending this pic and story my way. This is Aviation Structural Mechanic 1st Class Travis Miessner from Missoula, assigned to the “Garudas” of Electronic Attack Squadron (VAQ 134), washing an EA-6B Prowler aboard the aircraft carrier USS George H.W. Bush (CVN 77). The George H.W. Bush is supporting maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility in the Arabian Sea. http://www.flickr.com/photos/navcent/13400203995/
David McKee wanted to say thank you very much for your support of the men and women in the the U.S. Navy, deployed around the clock and ready to protect and defend America on the world’s oceans. DB
