How Old is This Female Jewel Thief?

After all these years, and we do mean all these years, bling is still her thing. Probably not as elusive as she once was, though.

If Doris Payne is not in the Guinness Book of World Records for being the oldest living woman jewelry thief, she probably should be. Police busted Doris at an Atlanta department store, where she allegedly pocketed about $2,000 worth of jewelry and made a run for it. Well, saying she made a run for it is probably a stretch, since Doris is 86!

Notorious Doris has been doing this around the world for over 60 years. She is a legend and garners so much fascination that they made a documentary about her a few years ago. I think I'm going to try to catch "The Life and Crimes of Doris Payne" someday soon.
