San Diego County is pretty serious about its little Southwestern Willow flycatcher and restoring habitat. State and federal wildlife officials say they will be spending in the neighborhood of three million bucks to attract the bird back to the area! Southwestern Willow flycatchers are one of the most endangered birds in North America, so the loot is going toward restoring native cottonwoods, willows, sycamores, etc. Anything that will hopefully bring them back to the area. Chargers tickets, surf lessons...the whole works!
