I see no way that this is not going to turn into a public relations nightmare. Maybe it already has.And one of many reasons I'd never want the pressure of being in hotel management. Associated Press tipped us off to a Delaware man whose act of kindness over Christmas is being rejected by the Wilimington Hotel du Pont. Matt Senge decided he wanted to give  five homeless people a night's stay in a luxury hotel. A woman, her two children and two men were living under a bridge. So Matt thought a night in warm beds with hot showers would be a pretty special treat. So he books a luxury suite in the Hotel du Pont on Christmas night. But hotel management cancelled the reservation, citing safety concerns for other guests. The hotel also says the reservation was cancelled because the homeless people wouldn't have proper I-D.

Well, that's their right, but it seems to me an opportunity to be the heroes by going out of their way to make them feel special and welcome is going to end up biting them in the butt. We'll see.
