Horrifying Food Truck Explosion Severely Burns Montana Woman

What was to be a dream-come-true for an aspiring chef and a lover of horses turned into a life-threatening nightmare.

Jordan Glosser's love of food creativity led her to opening her own food truck, whose name is an homage to her passion for horses.

Or rather, it was about to open.

Jordan was putting the finishing touches on the Clydesdale Outpost in Whitefish, Montana, in preparation for her grand opening, which was scheduled for last Tuesday, August 1. That's when an explosion occurred within the vehicle.

Jordan endured significant burns equaling a total body surface area of 38%, with 3rd degree burns. She is currently in stable condition and being treated at a medical burn center in Denver, Colorado. She will remain in the Intensive Care Unit for a minimum of three months and is looking at a long, intense road to recovery.

Jessie Glosser wrote on the GoFundMe page that has been set up, "Jordan is a Montana native (Helena). She is passionate about animals and being a chef. The food truck was always a dream of hers, and it has now transpired into this terrible tragedy.

"This fundraiser has been created by her family. All funds raised will be used to support Jordan during her treatment and recovery. Please keep her, her family and her co-workers in your thoughts and prayers. Jordan is very strong and brave, but will need support during this difficult time. Thank you."
